Veneers are an amazing way for patients in Bohemia to erase aesthetic imperfections in of their teeth. If you feel self-conscious due to issues like small gaps, misshapen teeth, discoloration, or chipped teeth, veneers might be right for you! You might hesitate to commit to the procedure, especially if you are nervous about dental treatments . It is perfectly normal to wonder what veneers look like or feel like! This blog post explains what you can expect during and after the treatment process.

The Treatment Process

The treatment process for veneers is surprisingly comfortable. During the preparation phase of the process, Dr. Makadia may need to remove minor enamel from your teeth to adjust for imperfections. Thanks to numbing agents, you should not feel any pain during this step. If anything, you might just notice some pressure.

If there is any sensitivity, it usually goes away within a few days.

Once your teeth are prepared for veneers, you will receive temporary veneers while your permanent ones are made in a laboratory. Temporary veneers are a bit thicker than regular veneers, so they may not feel totally natural. However, most patients do not have too much difficulty adapting to them.

Once the permanent veneers are received from the lab, the temporary veneers are removed and the permanent veneers are cemented in.

After Your Veneers Are in Place

What do permanent veneers look and feel like? Permanent veneers are quite thin and smooth. When they are placed by an experienced cosmetic dental expert like Dr. Makadia, they should be very comfortable on your teeth, particularly after a brief initial adjustment period. They should not interfere with your bite, not have  effects on your ability to speak, or feel strange in your mouth.
