For everyone in your family, Dr. Makadia recommends twice–yearly dental checkups. These cleanings and exams go a long way toward ensuring the attractive appearance of your smile and the health of your mouth. At these appointments, our dental hygienist will clean your teeth, remove plaque, and take digital X–rays when necessary.
A dental checkup is also the time when we look for evidence of tooth decay, gum disease, or damaged teeth. If any of these problems are found, then Dr. Makadia will recommend the appropriate course of restorative dentistry. For instance, a small cavity can be repaired with a tooth–colored filling; for gum disease, there is periodontal therapy to stop the advance of the disease and reverse the effects; and for a tooth damaged by wear or injury, a dental crown can restore its form and function.
In addition to these restorative services, Holbrook dentist Dr. Makadia can help you have a beautiful smile with cosmetic dentistry. We offer in–office and take–home teeth whitening, porcelain veneers, and Lumineers. Also, Dr. Makadia is a certified provider of Invisalign® clear braces, or he can also straighten your teeth with traditional braces, too.
